Using Coupons

This is my method for couponing. It’s not everyone’s method, but it works for me. You should try it, see if you like it and if it works for you. Adjust it as needed until you get the right fit for your lifestyle.

I also want to point out that at no time should you expect to be able to make an immediate switch to only buying what’s on sale or what you have a coupon for. There’s no way to do that unless you already have a stockpile and/or you have absolutely no preferences on brands. The key is to ease into buying only sale + coupon items at a rate you can sustain. If you don’t ease into it you are more likely to face early burnout or become discouraged when you don’t meet your own expectations.

Optimally, your purchasing equation should look like this:

Sale or Price Match + Store Coupon + Manufacturer Coupon = The Best Price
